SGRC administers the program on behalf of local elected officials and the Southern Georgia Workforce Development Board, which is a private sector-led board that provides a regional base of leadership for workforce, education and economic development solutions.

The Southern Georgia Workforce Development Board’s 2024-2027 Regional Plan for implementation of the
Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) within the counties of Atkinson, Bacon, Ben Hill, Berrien,
Brantley, Brooks, Charlton, Clinch, Coffee, Cook, Echols, Irwin, Lanier, Lowndes, Pierce, Tift, Turner and Ware
is posted here and available for comment.
The Southern Georgia Regional Commission is the administrative and fiscal agent for the Chief Elected Officials
of the above listed counties.
Comments will be accepted through the period of May 31, 2024 to June 30, 2024. Comments should be submitted to
the SGRC, Workforce Development Division via email at njames@sgrc.us
